So that our members live long healthy lives, we not only teach iaido and kenjutsu but breathing methods as well (adjusted breathing and breathing for martial arts practice).
Among our members we also have doctors and nurses from all fields, such as obstetrics, dentists, family practitioners, acupuncturists and accupressurists who can give accurate advice on various health issues.

【An Introduction to Some of Our General Members】
■O shihan joined at 77 and turned 90 this past January.
At first he could only train in the spring and fall once a week. Now he is in excellent health and trains at least three times a week.

■Until last year, the oldest beginner was Mr.
I who was 81 when he joined our group, but last year, Ms. O joined at the age of 83 and the record for oldest new member was broken! Both Mr. I and Ms. O are in good health and still training.

■Mr. I suffered a stroke and part of his body become disabled. Rehab was tough, but when he started doing iai he gradually regained movement in that part of his body that was affected by the stroke.

■K shihan was troubled by lower back pain for over 25 years. The pain has gone since he started iai, and he feels that at 66 years of age, being able to jump high in the kata hazumi was his reason for living all along! He continues to be in excellent health.
